The Challenge

How do you launch a new restaurant chain presence in a full COVID induced lockdown?

With the city of Vienna in COVID-19 lockdown, and only take-away and delivery permitted, we needed to create a hype around the opening of the first Five Guys store in Austria.

The Solution

Developing a customised communications and social media marketing programme…

Despite the lockdown, we knew there was still an appetite for new restaurants. So we launched a full communications campaign, including media relations (print, online and TV), 1:1 pre-launch tastings for key opinion leaders and the implementation of a local Instagram platform for Five Guys.

The Results

The activation during five days in March 2021 generated amazing results!
