The challenge

How to keep the world focussed on malaria during a pandemic?

Despite the fact that the number of cases of malaria in a single year is more than ten times that of COVID-19, COVID dominated the international news agenda. There was a strong risk that malaria would be forgotten.

The solution

A campaign to spread the message and cut through the noise.

We reframed the conversation, using a compelling narrative, hard hitting statistics and world-class experts to remind the world that progress against one of the world’s deadliest killers would stall if steps weren’t taken to continue funding key programmes.

We delivered a series of virtual media briefings and used the status and influence of country leaders amplified on social media to spread the word.

The results

Our work with the RBM Partnership to End Malaria and partners was Highly Commended by the PRWeek Healthcare & Pharma Comms Awards.
