Get in touchWho we are
We are Austria’s leading communications agency. Driven by new thinking, we always put established concepts to the test: what works well, stays. What needs improvement is reassessed. So that your messages – your stories – hit the target.
We are not afraid of change or of being challenged. We seek open exchange and see the diversity of our team as a strength that gives us a broader perspective.
Our work is founded on the codes of conduct of the industry associations in which we are active members – the Public Relations Association Austria (PRVA) and the Austrian Public Affairs Association (ÖPAV). We are also quality certified by the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO).
And because our commitment to the environment is more than skin-deep, we are members of respACT, the Austrian Business Council for Sustainable Development, and partners of CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project).
We combine public relations, marketing, social media and public affairs – and tailor our services to meet our clients’ unique challenges and goals.
Together with you, our aim is to find fresh approaches, seize new opportunities and celebrate joint successes. Based on sound data, through the best connections in Austria and with the strength of an international network behind us.
We are Grayling Austria.
We create advantage.

Our Work
Microsoft successfully positioned as an enabler of digitisation
New technologies support people in a meaningful way and make companies more competitive, more productive and significantly more efficient. Only those who dare to digitise will win. Highlighting these opportunities, encouraging people, taking away any fears and telling concrete success stories – all this was at the heart of the #DigitalHero campaign by Microsoft.
Our objective was to develop genuine and comprehensible success stories to inspire SMEs and educational institutions to go digital. We also wanted to highlight the crucial role that Microsoft employees play as ambassadors in this process. With a mix of own, shared and promoted content across multiple channels, Microsoft reached external as well as internal audiences on the platform most suitable for them. Each content piece was additionally adapted and distributed via as many channels as possible, maximising efficiency and reach.
Advancing the education discourse with the öbv
In order to raise awareness of the topics of effective education, both now and in the future, a different meta-topic in the field of education is discussed each year. Topics such as developing potential educational heroes and education in practice were used to refine the public discourse.
The position of öbv (Austrian Federal Schoolbook Publishing House) as an innovative partner with more than 250 years of expertise in the field of education was strengthened. The aim is to regularly initiate a broad discussion on the Austrian education system and its future, in order to steer developments in a positive direction and ultimately help young people to achieve their potential in the best possible way.
This is achieved through regular media work on current educational topics, CEO positioning on LinkedIn and the organization of educational talks. In addition, the first podcast dealing with the education system in Austria was launched.
Writing Austrian aviation history with Emirates
Grayling Austria has been supporting Emirates with media and stakeholder relations support, as well as crisis communications, for more than 15 years.
One very important part of our work is to create a buzz around the airline’s milestone events – which is exactly what happened when Emirates introduced regular flights from Dubai to Vienna with the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the A380. Together, we wrote Austrian aviation history by organising an exclusive pre-launch press trip and a dashing event for journalists and decision-makers at the VIP gate in Vienna, kicked off by an Austrian brass brand on the tarmac. Emirates was making headlines for an entire week.
Establishing Huawei's leadership in AI in a unique way
What do the Northern Lights sound like? On behalf of Huawei, we provided extensive media relations support for the spectacular Sound of Light performance at the famous Musikverein in Vienna.
There, a team of artists inspired by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s capabilities transformed the Northern Lights into music using artificial intelligence.
Our work resulted in the attendance of more than 300 international and local journalists and sparked an international media echo – establishing Huawei’s leadership in technology, innovation and, of course, AI.
