Our Work
Launching the UK’s first Sub-National Transport Body
Within the first week of our appointment, Grayling hosted a series of messaging workshops with TfN’s senior team. This enabled us to crystalise TfN’s distinct voice in the often over crowded infrastructure debate. Our tier one engagement programme, with a live tier one stakeholder list, enabled TfN to build cross-party relationships with advisors, officials and ministers at No.10, DfT, HM Treasury, as well as the mayoral teams and other leading local government representatives. In Parliament, we quickly and effectively raised widespread awareness of TfN through parliamentary newsletters, group meetings and regional drop-in sessions. We also delivered ad hoc training sessions for TfN and Northern Powerhouse Rail’s (NPR) senior team ahead of appearances before the Transport Select Committee and the media appearances, notably the Today programme.
Deliverying the launch of HyNet North West
In May 2018, Grayling assisted Cadent deliver the launch of their HyNet North West, a hydrogen energy and Carbon Caputure, Usage and Storage (CCUS), project in Manchester and then in Westminster. Grayling sourced two landmark venues in Manchester and the House of Commons and secured the attendance of the Metro Mayors of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and the Liverpool City Region, Steve Rotheram who both addressed the attendees on the benefits of the project would bring to the North West.
Raising YPO's profile with political stakeholders
Grayling support YPO’s leadership team with comprehensive monitoring, real-time analysis and thorough briefings to give them a holistic view of the policy landscape and to identify opportunities with stakeholders in Westminster and in local authorities. Through Grayling’s proactive targeted contract programme, YPO has been able to meet with parliamentarians and leaders in local government raising the profile of their products, services and social value.
