Following the success of the first edition, FIBES hired Grayling once again for the 2nd edition of the event, in 2017.
Grayling developed a public relations and public affairs program aimed at securing the participation of the leading representatives of the local, regional and national public sector together with industrial players, both in the event itself and in the Honorary Committee. We also established direct and professional relationships with the local, regional and national media, with a specific strategy of collaboration with vertical publications specialised in mining and metals.
We were responsible for the forum on “Innovation and society: Business decision or social demand?”, a meeting place for sharing experiences while promoting the development of new technologies adapted to different areas of personal and professional activity, with a continual emphasis on innovation. The session brought together leading figures such as the Mayor of Huelva, Gabriel Cruz; the President of COTEC – Foundation for Innovation, Cristina Garmendia; the Director of Twitter Spain, José Luis Pérez de Ayala; the President of the Iturri Group, Juan Francisco Iturri; the Rector of the University of Huelva, Francisco Ruiz, and the President of Europa Press, Asís Martín de Caviedes, as well as the managing director of Atlantic Copper, Javier Targhetta.
We also were in charge of selecting and inviting speakers, designing and sending official invitations for authorities in line with protocol, media pitching, managing seating arrangements for authorities, the drafting of press releases and the management of media interviews with representatives of Atlantic Copper.
The “Industry Day” is one of the most keenly anticipated events for Huelva’s business and industrial community. Grayling was tasked with coordinating the event as a whole, in collaboration with event organiser, the Association of Chemical, Basics and Energy Businesses in Huelva (AIQBE) and the University of Huelva where the event was hosted.
We managed the planning of the event: Invitation design, media relations as well as promoting the event on social media. Both during and after the event, Grayling liaised with the speakers and institutional representatives, coordinated the media statements from the event participants, managed the photography, seating and broadcast coverage of the event including live interviews with Cadena SER radio station.
Grayling was responsible for designing the creative concept and managing the inauguration of new facilities at the logistics centre, Impala Terminal, at the port of Huelva. We also managed the internal and communications activities around the event as well as institutional relations activity aimed at facilitating the attendance of public sector authorities and organising a private visit by the Minister for Public Works and the President of the Andalusian regional government. We were also responsible for official and corporate protocol at the event.
Grupo Alvic is a manufacturer of panels and components for interior furnishings and decoration. The company has three factories and 25 distribution centres throughout Spain as well as an additional one in Turkey.
Grayling organised and managed the main event marking Grupo Alvic’s 50th Anniversary, comprising a dinner for 600 guests, including employees, public authorities and other associates.
Grayling also coordinated the PR activities for the event offered by Alvic Group to their global clients and providers at MADERALIA, the International Wood Fair held in Valencia.
The client was highly impressed with the results achieved and with the positive impact in terms of strengthening employees’ commitment to the values and vision of the company.
