That\u2019s the key conclusion of a new analysis we publish today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key findings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sixty-four companies from the Nasdaq 100 are afflicted by negative content sticking to their search results<\/li>\n<li>Much of that content is old \u2013 of the 64 companies affected, 48 have negative content sticking to them that is more than a month old; while 14 of those have negative content that is more than a year old sticking to page one of their search results<\/li>\n<li>Most of this negative content consists of critical media stories, most often around unethical company\/employee behavior or poor financial performance<\/li>\n<li>Companies\u00a0<em>least\u00a0<\/em>affected by the syndrome are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.celgene.com\/\">Celgene<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mondelezinternational.com\/\">Mondelez International<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/\">Netflix<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.regeneron.com\/\">Regeneron Pharmaceuticals<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.micron.com\/\">Micron\u00a0<\/a>all showing far fewer negative media mentions than other Nasdaq 100 companies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The analysis was undertaken using Grayling\u2019s proprietary\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grayling.com\/global\/en\/services\/gcore\">GCore technology<\/a>\u00a0developed to help our clients manage their online reputations, by looking at reputation through the lens of search.
