The non-profit organisation will now rely on the expertise of Grayling Austria for the communication of its agenda.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the joint communication work is to convince even more companies, cities and regions throughout Austria to disclose their environmental data, measure their impact on the environment and motivate them to engage in sustainable business activities. For many investors, CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions and the commitment to the protection of water resources and forests are increasingly relevant factors in their decisions to invest.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019 alone, 8,400 companies worldwide \u2013 from Microsoft to Lego \u2013 transparently disclosed their contribution to climate protection via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdp.net\/en\/users\/confirmation?confirmation_token=wF3JxhxPATa4Da4grmyE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CDP Europe<\/a>. In Austria, leading companies such as OMV, Verbund, \u00d6sterreichische Post, Raiffeisen Bank and Voestalpine have already made their environmental impact transparent through CDP. For more than 515 investors with investment assets worth \u20ac97 trillion, this data forms an important basis for decision-making when evaluating investments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCDP is delighted to begin this partnership with Grayling to increase our media impact in Austria. The COVID-19 crisis has highlighted the importance of resilience to future disruptions and shown that a systemic transformation of our economy is needed to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees, which is what science demands. As Europe looks to recover, the emphasis must be on re-building our economy better. Austrian companies, investors, cities and states need to show more leadership, by transparently disclosing their impact and putting in place ambitious strategies to achieve net zero emissions and the sustainable use of water and forests resources.
