We advise organisations on how to navigate the EU, be a credible leader, and identify solutions to policy and legislative challenges. We offer political intelligence and monitoring, advocacy and strategic advice, perception surveys, public relations and social media campaigns, trade association and events management. Our offer is structured around seven policy poles: energy, environment, food, health, ICT, transport and trade.
Grayling Brussels is the hub for the largest PA-owned network across Europe, with our 28 European offices. We regularly link up with our global PA network located in Washington D.C, Asia, and Middle East and Africa.
We believe that every client is different. With our own advocacy methodology, every campaign has its tailor-made strategy and implementing actions. We train C-level executives in both Public Affairs & Media Relations, serve as the hub for multi-market accounts, and run the Grayling Brexit Unit. Our new Events and Marketing Practice supports our client teams in developing impactful, creative and value-added services.
Every month our teams organise events to discuss with industry, NGOs and the EU institutions how specific topics impact businesses. Our Brexit Unit has established a leading forum for dialogue – the Grayling Brexit Club – to encourage open discussion between businesses, decision-makers and other stakeholders.
We are Grayling Brussels Public Affairs – providing intelligent, credible counsel to create advantage for our clients across Europe and beyond.

Providing the right inteligence for Honda ahead of & during Brexit negotiations
The uncertainty around the EU/UK’s future trading relationship has generated doubt about Honda’s current and future investments in the UK.
Once the negotiations on Brexit began, our UK and Brussels teams worked closely together to develop two comprehensive public affairs campaigns. Grayling then updated the campaigns, taking into account EU and UK developments, and supported the entirety of Honda’s outreach to decision-makers.
In the first 2 years of the outreach programme in Brussels, Honda’s messages were conveyed in over 150 meetings with stakeholders. Honda also established a network of like-minded stakeholders, obtained speaking slots at several events, and is now well equipped to lobby the bilateral free-trade agreement negotiations post-Brexit.

Establishing the Global Public Affairs function of OLX Group
OLX Group required consultancy assistance to establish a Global Public Affairs function from scratch as well as to build brand recognition in Brussels. Grayling advised on the creation and supported the execution of a plan, building a public policy framework, a toolkit for use by local staff, talking points on key issues, competitor benchmarking, and the creation of key messages and factsheets to establish a political brand. We provided strategic analysis and advice on policy priorities, and supported the building of an industry coalition around these priorities. From a standing start, OLX Group is now well organised to defend its business interests globally. It is well recognised by policy makers in Brussels and beyond.

Advocating for EU policies that make travel more efficient
Business travel is the world’s largest employer and drives the success of every other industry. Yet travel facilitation is not always seen as a priority by European policy-makers.
Grayling helped GBTA identify the right platforms and messages to defend the interests of business travelers at the EU level. In the past 5 years we have engaged with stakeholders from the three EU institutions to:
• Avoid the re-introduction of visas for US citizens traveling to Europe
• Get support for introducing digital visas
• Make sure that UK airlines can still fly across European skies after Brexit
• Increase the transparency of tickets prices
GBTA has now become a key influencer on visa and travel policies in Brussels and obtained policy wins on most of its key issues.
Together with Grayling, we have succeeded in establishing our association as a key player for our industry sector in the Brussels arena and beyond
